Wilton, 70 pioneer farmer of the Roland district, and fromer director of the Dufferin Agricultural Society and of various Manitoba fair boards died Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. M. Grave, of Edmonton. Mr. Wilton lived in the Roland district from 1881 until his retirement in 1945, when he moved to Carman. Mr. Wilton was active in all community affairs. He served as councillor for Roland municipality for many years and was on the Manitoba PoolElevator board. He had also been manager of the Carman Credit Union. Mr. Wilton was a member of the United Church, having served on churchboards at both Carman and Roland. He was a member of church choirs for over 50 years. Born at Roland, Mr. Wilton lived in the district for 64 years. In June, 1909, he married Miss Mona Canning. Survivors include his wife, twosons, Lloyd and Jack, both of Carman; three daughters, Mrs Graves, ofEdmonton, Mrs. George A. Waugh and Mrs. Kenneth Draper, of Winnipeg; two brothers, Stanley and William, both of Carman, and three sisters, Mrs. E. Gohl, Mrs. A.J. Lowe and Mrs. A.R. Gillon, all of Winnipeg. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock at the Carman United Church, with Reverend W. Conley officiating. Burial wil be at the Carman Cemetery.
