Notes
a. Note:   [Antoine 3.22.2000.FTW] Jim left home when he was 14 years old, and went home for a while when about 17 years old. He was riding a mustang pony and dressed in cowboy hat and boots. His mother worried a lot because he was gone so much. Jim lived at Little Elm for a few years after marrying Dora Weatherly; moved to Throckmorton, from there to Indian Territory (Oklahoma) near Berwin, Oklahoma (now Gene Autry, Oklahoma); then to Krum, where he was a barber for many years. Left for health reasons to live on part of the Weatherly property SE of Denton. Took care of the Weatherly's in their old age. In 1904 Jim purchased a barber shop from Old Man Boyd in Krum. Boyd remained working there during busy times. Silas Koiner also worked there. Jim worked as a farm hand for George Weatherly. That is how he met his wife. Jim sold out in Krum and bought 40 acres from George Weatherly in 1914. As of 1924 Jim had not paid the place off yet. In 1924 George & Jim agreed to sell 17.5 acres to Earl Padgett. Played the fiddle at dances before and after they were married.
