a. Note:   Information on the Samuel's children came from Marilyn Szum. Also info from Beutonne Mckean 51 y 9m 20d They came over the mountains in a covered wagon that Samuel built in 1851 and settled in Bond County, IL. In North Carolina, they had lived in a dirt floored log cabin. Sarah Glenn Aul never saw a cook stove until she was sixteen, they had always cooked over the fireplace. Rachel smoked a corncob pipe which was popular with mountain women.
