a. Note:   When he enlisted in the C.E.F. on March 20, 1916, he gave his date of birth as April 21, 1890, at Whitesand, Sask., and described himself as an unmarried fisherman from Winnepegosis. His medical examination found him to be 5'9" tall, with a dark complexion, brown eyes, and black hair. As you know, he never came home, and was killed in France on Aug. 15, 1917, and buried in Loos British Cemetery. Source: Rupertslander SANDERSON, Pte.
