Note: Steve mandzuk, aged 66 years of Winnipegosis passed away on Sunday, Oct. 6. Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 10 from the Ukrainian Catholic church of the Ascension with Rev. A. Zayac officiating. Pall bearers were John Namaka, Peter Bobinski, Pete Harrison, Steve Sass, Steve Coma and Alex Huculak. Interment took place in the parish cemetery. Sneath-Strilchuk funeral service had care of the arrangements. He was born in the Western Ukraine and educated there and at Hodgson where he came to live in 1914. He later farmed there for a time and then moved to Rorketon and farmed there until 1962 when he retired to Winnipegosis. His first wife predeceased him. In 1962 he married Tellie Sanderson. Surviving besides his wife are his father, John Mandzuk of Arborg; one son and seven daughters, George of Winnipeg; Mrs. Roy Gerow (Florence) of Carman; Mrs. Michael Halischuk (Annie), Mrs. Albert Hrushka (Pauline), Mrs. Frank Geisbrecht (Judy) all of Winnipeg; Mrs. Harvey Ruth (Stella) of Millet, Alta.; Mrs. Harold Buss (Olga) of Beausejour; Mrs. Ernie Kolton (Sally) of Portage la Prairie; Sixteen grandchildren; three sisters and four brothers.
