Note:   Mary McNab's Great-Grandfather was John McNab, born in or near London in 1755, and initially engaged by the HBCo. as a surgeon for Albany Fort. he eventually rose to become a Governor of the HBCo's Northern Department. Nothing whatever is known about Gov. John McNab's wife, probably a James Bay Cree "homeguard".
