Note: * b. March 28, 1843, the son of William C. Dillon and Elizabeth Pinkerman. Cyrus died April 14, 1924, and is interned in the Kingrey Cem etery, near Scottown in Lawrence Co., OH. During the Civil War he served in Company E, 173rd Division, 17th Bn from August 26, 1864 toJune 26, 1965. On June 6, 1866, Cyrus married Ellen O. Tagg, daughter of James Tagg and Sarah ( Sally) Kingrey. Ellen, b. July 11, 1847, d. August 12, 1909, at Scottown, OH , and is also buried in the Kingrey Cemetery. According to the 1860 Census, James Tagg was born in England on November 5, 1817 and died February 23, 1899 and is buried in the Kingrey Cemetery. The same Census indicates that Ellen had two sisters, Rebecca and Matilda, and three brothers, Joseph, James and T homas. James married Sarah Dillon, a sister of Cyrus M. Dillon. Shortly bef ore she died Ellen named her two grandsons, Alfred and Alva Dillon. Cyrus do nated the land for the Center Point Baptist Church built in 1888 at Polkadott e, Lawrence Co., OH.
