Notes
a. Note:   Alias:<ALIA> Polly /Callicott/ REFN: 165 In family group she ets, Mary is listed as buried in the Dillon Cemetery on Greasy Ridge, in Lawr ence County, OH. This is incorrect. Henry S. Dillon has photos of their gra vesites in the Kingery Cemetery on Dillon Ridge, Windsor Twp., Lawrence Count y, OH. This location is about two miles from the Dillon Cemetery on Greasy R idge. The Dillon Cemetery (which Henry also has photos of) isn't much. It's in the middle of a cultivated field and currently might occupy a space of 40 ' x 40'. There are 9 or 10 stones of which perhaps 6 are legible. The Kinge ry Cemetery, on the other hand, is an old, well-maintained place with many le gible stones. McCager's and Mary's headstones are upright and very legible. <><><><><><> According to a family sheet acquired thru GENEALGICAL HELPER mag azine, Polly/Mary Callicote Dillon, wife of McCager Dillon was a full-blooded American indian. The resource for this sheet is W. Burcham, POBox 375, Wa yne, NJ 07470. (May 20, 1996)I have written to her additional information. (Response - Can not confirm) (1/99) <><><><><><> Forrest Dillon, great grands on of Mary Callicote Dillon, in a May 1986 letter to Wanda L. Burcham, also i ndicated she was a full-blooded indian. Wanda Burcham mailed that letter to me.(HSD) <><><><><><> Mary "Polly" is a sister to John Bailey Callicoat who married Rebecca Dillon, a sister to McCager Dillon. <><><><><><> Family gro up sheets indicate her burial place as the Dillon Cemetery, Greasy Rdge, Lawr ence Co., OH. However, there are only several marked stones in this cemetery , none of which are Mary Callicoat's or her husband, McCager's. In the Kinge ry Cemetery, ten minutes away on Dillon Ridge, there are stones for Mary and McCager. <><><><><><> 1850 United States Federal Census Record about Mccapal Dillion Name: Mccapal Dillion Age: 66 Estimated birth year: abt 1784 Birth place: Virginia Gender: Male Home in 1850 (City,County,State): Windsor, Lawrence, Ohio farmer Polly 59 VA John W 22 O Seamore 18 rv 200 Ohio 1860 United States Federal Census Name: Mary Dillon Age in 1860: 67 Birthplace: North Carolina Home in 1860: Windsor, Lawrence, Ohio Gender: Female Value of real estate: View image Roll: M653_997 Page: 156 Year: 1860 Head of Household: Mary Dillon Household 1860 Census lists Mary Dillon, age 67, living(alone) ad jacent to John W, Dillon, Ceymore Dillon, Elizabeth Dillon McMahan, William C.
