Park Avenue, Pomo na, Ca. Jimmy was a huge lovable man. When he and Orma came to the house they both would have a beer, but Jimmy always wanted "two fingers" on whiskey to go with his. That would have been the space between my pointer finger and my pinky! When my sister Kris and I were teenagers Jimmy took us to see the movie "Help" with the Beatles. All the screaming didn't seem to bother him a bit. When Orma passed he was a lost soul. He went to the hospital for routine tests, and had a heart attack. There was a priest there who gave him the last rights. My mother Bobbie (Spillane) Helmick and her sister Esther, told many a funny story about growing up with Jimmy. We all miss him very much. It was Jimmy who had his family buried together. His parents, his Aunt Letty & husband, Bernand McSweeney and their beloved daughter, Kitty, are all buried with Orma and Jim at Holy Cross Cemetery in Pomona, CA.
