He was a Wood county native, formerly of Walker, a retired pipefitterwith American Viscose and a member of the Freeport Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Clara Ward Wise, one son, Roland K. Wise of Williamstown; four daughters, Merna Shultz of Parkersburg, Iva Nelson of Dayton, Ohio, Anne Parks of Williamstown and Rae Scyoc of Sissonville; two brothers, William E. Wise of Parkersburg and Paul E. Wise of Denver, Colo., two sisters, LaVera Rood of Westerville, Ohio, and Margaret Anne Eddy of Johnson City, Tenn., one step-sister, Patty Shimer of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be 2pm today in Franklin and Son Funeral Chapel, Parkersburg with James H. Bailey officiating and burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
