Notes
a. Note:   He was a ship builder and lost everything in the Depression. He and Mary Catherine in their old age spent 30 days at Vivian's home and then30 days at Daisy's home. They were not welcome in either place for very long. Everything they owned fit into one small suite case that theycarried with them each month. It was held together by Horace's belt. Horace became a Catholic after Mary's death. Harry had long since disappeared, having already left his wife and family. Horace purchased cemetery plots at the Ferndale Cemetery Ass., Monguaton Township, Wayne County, Mi, Number 398 Grave #1 and two of lot (230) Two hundred and thrifty section numbered Glendale containing sixty square feet of land, on 2nd Feb 1935 He died at Daisy SansSouci home, who was his daughter. 1860 United States Federal Census Name: Elizabeth White Age in 1860: 44 Birthplace: New York Home in 1860: Kingston, Delaware, Ohio Gender: Female Value of real estate: View image Post Office: Kingston Center Roll: M653_957 Page: 213 Year: 1860 Head of Household: Elizabeth White Household Mary M 14 b O Hannah L 12 b O Horris 8 b O Elias Van Sickle 63 b NJ farmer 1870 United States Federal Census Name: Elizabeth White Estimated Birth Year: abt 1816 Age in 1870: 54 Birthplace: New York Home in 1870: Perrysburg, Wood, Ohio Family and neighbors: View Results Race: White Gender: Female Value of real estate: View Image Post Office: Woodville Sandusky County Roll: M593_1283 Page: 465 Image: 381 Year: 1870 Simons, Robert 39 farmer b England rev 4200 rv 500 Jane 32 wife b Ohio Edwin 12 at home b Ohio Ira 10 at home b Ohio Florance 3 b Ohio White, Elizabeth 52 without occupation b NY cannot read or write Mary 22 domestic servant b Ohio Horace 18 at home b Ohio this is the same page that John Hufford is found tp 1880 U.S. Federal Census record for: Horace WHITE Name: Horace WHITE Age: 27 Estimated birth year: <1853> Birthplace: Ohio Relation: Self Home in 1880: Wyandotte, Wayne, Michigan Occupation: In Shipyard Marital status: Married Race: White Gender: Male Head of household: Horace WHITE Father's birthplace: OH Mother's birthplace: OH Mary WHITE Wife M Female W 27 OH Keeping Hou Harry WHITE Son S Male W 7 OH MI OH Daisy WHITE Dau S Female W 1 OH OH OH 1900 Ecorse Michigan US Census, 9th of June 1900 Wayne County Roll 754 Book 1 White, Horace, Oct 1852 age 48 in Ohio, father born in New Hampshire, mother New Jersey, carpenter shipyard, married at age 28 Mary, wife born Aug 1853 age 47 married at age 28, born in Ohio, father in New York, mother Penn. has had 3 children 3 living Viva, daughter born Jan 1882, age 18 single born in MI Belleville, Bert nephew, born Jan 1885 age 15 in MI, parentd born in Ohio, laborer in a shipyard 1910 United States Federal Census Name: Horace White Age in 1910: 58 Estimated Birth Year: 1851 Birthplace: Ohio Home in 1910: 13-WD TOLEDO, LUCAS, Ohio Race: White Gender: Male Series: T624 Roll: 1208 Part: 2 Page: 218A Year: 1910 Iron worker ship yard Mary 57 mar 33 yrs 3 children 3 living b Ohio 1920 Detroit, MI Home in 1920: Detroit, Wayne, Michigan Home owned: View Image Sex: View Image Marital status: View Image Year of immigration: View Image Able to read & write: View Image Roll: T625_806 Page: 6B ED: 191 Image: 0206 White, Horace age 68 b Ohio father NJ m PA retired Mary 67 b Ohio fa Ohio m PA 1930 Ecorse, Mi Census 1930 U.S. Federal Census White, Horris < Age: 78 Year: 1930 Birthplace: Ohio Roll: T626_1071 Race: White Page: 13A State: Michigan ED: 917 County: Wayne Image: 0780 Township: Ecorse Relationship: Father-in-law Sansssouci, Richard head age 56 married at age 25 born in MI father in MI mother in Canada(FR) carpenter electric building Daisy wife age 51 married at age 19 in Ohio parents in Ohio White, Horris father in law age 78 married at age 20 in Ohio father in New Jersey mother in Penn. retired White, Mary mother in law age 77 married at age 19 in Ohio father in Delaware, mother in Penn History of Branch County, Michigan: With Illustrations and Biographical Sketches of Some of Its Prominent Men and Pioneers Results 1 - 2 of 2 for Horace White in Michigan Page Content Hits More Details 372 Horace White, SO April 20, 1S36.
