Other survivors include his wife, Ethel M.; two stepsons, Richard of Riverview and John Spillane three step daughters, Mrs Marian Jablonski, Mrs . Barbara Helmick and Mrs Esther Meszaros of Southgate; brother Joseph and s ister, Mrs. Irene Pennington. Services for the World War II veteran were held May 8 at St Cyprian Catholic Church, Burial was in Michigan Memorial Park, Hu ron Township. Arrangements were made by the JA Plaza Funeral Home. Grandpa w orked in a steel mill in Wyandotte for as long as I can remember. When my Un cle Dick & Uncle John were old enough to work, he got them jobs at the Mill. Uncle Dick worked in the Mill until his health (heart problems) forced him t o quit. Uncle John went to workin an office and eventually worked to my Dad at G.F.C.
