Note: From Marian Magers: Moved to Sedan, France around 1598, during the time of the Edict of Nantes. One record gives his date of death as 1606 From Diane Delbridge: He was baptized catholic but converted when fairly young to the Huguenot faith. Due to various protestant uprisings in neighboring towns, war raged between the faiths and there were numerous massacres, burnings, etc which devastated the area. By 1601, Jean had moved his family to Sedan, Luxembourg, a protestant area. In 1602 he and his wife were in Berghen op Zoom and joined the church there. In 1603 they were members of the church in Leiden, and in 1604 in Amsterdam Sources: Marian Magers, mmagers58@hotmail.com Diane Delbridge, dlddvm@ix.netcom.com David Lloyd Jones, jones.1974@osu.edu
