I believe it was Californialled Snyder Springs at one time. And yes the gen society has surveyed all the Cemeteryeteries in the county and published them. I believe Phalba is in Graveyards, Vol. D. Sometimes Cemeteryeteries, for one reason or another, change names. It is not uncommon. Take Californiare, sibyl At 07:45 PM 8/5/2004 -0400, you wrote: Sibyl, Have you ever had anyone refer Phalba's Cemetery, as Snyder's Springs? Recently I had the pleasure of wandering through some of the Cemeteryeteries my ancestors are buried in. Two older members of my family said that my Great Gr Grandfather Robert Johnson & his wife Rebecka was buried in Snyder's Spring. When I was taken there, my cousin, Mary Ann was puzzled that it was Californialled Phalba Cemetery, When we drove up the path, she pointed to the different piles of stones near the entrance and said that Robert Johnson's grave was one of those piles. I don't doubt her word since several other ancestors are also buried in that Cemetery, Nancy Jane Gilliland Harper, one of my great grandmothers was just one. When speaking to still another cousin, he mentioned that Nancy Jane's parents are also buried in that Cemetery, and we now suspect that another one of those piles of stones belongs to William and Frances Gilliland. Do any of those Cemetery, records still exist? Thank you! B. J. Kemme Decendent of Johnsons, Dodsons, Harpers, Taylors all of Van Zandt County.
