  Johann Jacob and Elisabetha bought 1 morgan ackerfeld (about 2/3 of an acre) from Georg Ott for 4 gulden, in 1669. In 1686 they purchased from Christian Sphone, a house, yard, barn with all appendages and a share from the good Duercheim Hospital in Assenheim, for 300 florin, 190 florin given him by his wife and the remaining 110florin to be paid according to his ability to pay. The money given from Elisabetha was probably her inheritance on the death of her father. Johann Jacob wasappointed to the village court in assenheim on Nov. 18, 1669, a position that he held until his death in 1710.
