The services under the officiating of Pastors Jacobsen and John Eide, will begin at 2 p.m. Tate, who is survived by his wife, Dora, of Hood River, lived in Hood River most of her life. He was born Dec. 18, 1891 at Marysville, Utah. Tate was active in the Eagles Lodge, the local Veterans of Foreign Wars chapter, the World War I Veterans, the American Legion, senior citizens and the Hood River Pioneer Association. He attended Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Tate is also survived by two sons, Lester Favorit of Wasco, and Walter Favorit of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
