November 4, 1874 Richard A. Graves applied for administration of th estate of Jos. L. Tate, and on Nov. 5, 1874 was appointed administrator, and appraisers were named. December 7, 1874 R. A. Graves petitioned to sell the land belonging to the estate of Joseph L. Tate, stating that two of the heirs no longer lived in the State and had not been heard from in some time. Authorization was granted. January 17, 1877 An account current was filed, and the administration of the estate was complete. A. Miller DuBose bought the heirs' entire interest in the estate. December 17, 1877 The disposition of the estate of Jos. L. Tate was concluded and listed the surviving heirs as: Jane, Laura, Joseph L., and Clinton Tate.
