Note: BIOGRAPHY: A Hallock Genealogy, William, Charles, and Lucius Hallock, revised in 1860, 1906, and 1928, respectively, Pg 601: "Thomas Hallock was given, in his father's will, the western half of the Peter Hallock purchase in Aquebogue or West Mattituck. He undoubtedly lived and died upon this land, but nothing is known of his death or burial. This land adjoined that of Richard Howell, son of the widow Howell, Peter's second wife." (and also Thomas' uncle, as his mother was Margaret Howell, Peter's sister. nmt.) DOB: 1928 Book has abt 1660. Evelyn's 1993 book has abt 1640. The 1660 date seems more reasonable with the youngest child being born 1700. He would be 60 using 1640, 40 using 1660. ________________ IDENTITY OF WIFE: From Comstocks in America: Pp 3-4 "Dec. 17, 1697, Peeter Strickland receipts to his brother-in-law, Daniel Comstock, administrator of the estate of his father, Daniel Comstock, for twelve pounds, for Samuel Young and Thomas Halliox of Southold, L. I., as their wives' part of the estate of their father, Daniel Comstock, deceased." "Samuel Young and Thomas Halliox gave an order Oct. 9, 1696, to their mother, Paltiah Comstock, "to pay our patrimony due us, to our brother, Peter Strickland." _________________ DATE OF DEATH: His wife, Hope Halliock (sic), witnessed Richard Howell's will in 1709.
