COMMENTS: John was known as "Jack" Reeves by his family and friends.
I remember that my grandfather "Jack" Reeves liked to hunt foxes on his property in Missouri. Also, he used to make molasses from sugarcane, a horse or mule would walk in a circle pulling on a pole that turned the press which extracted the juice from the sugarcane.
"Jack" Reeves and his family lived in the country a few miles from Bolivar, Missouri and Jack was so interested in politics that during every election he would stay in Bolivar for a few days so he would be close to the political action. (Comments by Kenneth Lee Taylor , August 14, 1999).
