Note: According to his Daughter Claris Taylor, Curtis Taylor attended Ohio Northern University where he obtained his teaching degree. *************************************************************************** According to Doug Cannon and Deb Bintz Curt Taylor had a nickname for Hattie. He called her "KID". As she was 25 years his junior, that was a pretty descriptive nickname for her. My father used to call me that too, even when I was 50 years old. Guess he picked that up from his Dad. Curt Taylor met Elanor Roosevelt at a teacher's convention in Cincinnati Ohio. He told someone that she was the "ugliest damned women he had ever met in his life". Date not known, but he retired in 1939 so it had to be prior to that. ***************************************************************************************************************** The following information was found on the webpage of Tim Fisher. This is the church that the Taylor's attended. ( lliff ) The first church in the township was the Iliff church, a log building erected in 1819 or 1820, by the Methodist Episcopal denomination. A class had been previously organized, which met mostly at the house of Jacob Holcomb, who resided on the sixteenth section. The Iliff church prospered, and about 1852, built a new frame church. Rev T. C. Iliff, a prominent minister of the M. E. Church, is from this place
