Orem, died of cancer Friday Aug. 31, 1979 at the Utah Valley Hospital. She was born Dec. 27, 1935 in Wausua, Wis. a daughter of Clarence and Evelyn Omholt Kufahl. She married John Demeny in Aug. 1958 in Evanston, Ill. and he died May 1, 1976. Mrs. Demeny had been a case worker for the Assistance Payments Division for the past year. She received her education in Wisconsin schools, graduating from Green Bay High School. Following her marriage, they lived in Green Bay, then mnoved to American Fork in 1973. She later moved to Provo, where she had lived until one month ago. Mrs. Demeny was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Survivors include two daughters, Julie Anna Merrell and Laurie Louise Demeny, both of Provo; her mother, Green Bay, Wisc. and numerous uncles and aunts. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, Provo, where friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. or Tuesday prior to services. Burial will be in Provo City Cemetery.
