KUFAHL Clarence L. Kufahl, 76, 400 N. Monroe, died Tuesday afternoon in a local hospital following a long illness. He was born April 16, 1899 in Algoma. Mr. Kufahl had lived in Green Bay for the past 34 years, moving here from Wausau. He had been a salesman for Hoffer Glass, retiring 14 years ago. Survivors include his wife; Evelyn; one daughter, Mrs. Joanne Demeny, Provo, Utah, two granddaughters, Julie and Laurie Demeny, three brothers, Elmer and Hilbert, Wausau, Ben, Lake Tomahawk, one sister, Mrs. Eleanor Bacon, Farmington, N.M.; one uncle and one aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Beilke, Wausau. Friends may call at Schauer and Schumacher East Side Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Thursday. Funeral 1:30 p.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dean Kilgust officiating. When he was born he was so small he fit in a shoe box that they kept near the stove to keep him warm since they had no incubators in those days. He was not expected to live. Instead he lived and his sister, who was said to be very large, died because of the injuries she recieved at the time of her birth.
