Born October 13, 1931 in Olney, IL Betty was a daughter of the late Clifford and Mildred (Thorp) Taylor. She was a supervisor at GEMCO in Minooka until her retirement. Betty was an avid Bingo player, loved to crochet and watch all sports, especially wrestling and auto racing. Survivors include her loving children: Linda (Edwin) Haga and Terry (Bobbie) Martin both of Wilmington, Bonnie (Mike) Elkins of IN, Connie (Skip) Brummel of Joliet, Tom (Laura) Martin of Wilmington and Rick Martin of AL; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Carol Taylor of Texas. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard (2004); and brother, Charles Taylor. Visitation will be Thursday, February 15, 2007 from 4-8PM at Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow on Friday February 16th, 10AM in the funeral home with Rev. David Lagos-Fonseca and Rev. Shirley Pulgar-Hughes from the 1st United Methodist Church in Wilmington officiating. Chapel Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery in Joliet. Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Betty's memory to the First United Methodist Church of Wilmington, American Diabetes or American Heart Association.
