 I was on the go all day with stuff my kids were doing and the grandsons and just checked my e-mail.
 Otherwise, I would have gotten back to you sooner.
 I don't know what to say other than I will hold her up in prayer, as well as, her family.
 This must be very hard on Skip and the kids, too.
 I'm sure Connie will want you to spend some time with her whenever you can.
 I teared up also and I am not nearly as close to her as you are. This must be really tough for you.
 I'll let my bunch know.

 Obituary for Connie Brummel
 Connie L. Brummel (nee Martin)
 Age 59. Peacefully Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at her late residence following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Joliet and raised in Elwood, IL until her marriage. She then returned to Joliet to make her home. Formerly a bar stewart at the Joliet Moose Lodge #300. Also a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter #84. She enjoyed bowling and in her earlier days, a good game of volleyball.
 Preceded by her parents, Richard and Betty (nee Taylor) Martin; and one sister, Linda Haga.
 Survived by her loving husband of 41 years, C.J. "Skip" Brummel, Jr.; two daughters, Cathy Brummel and Chrissy Brower; one son, C.J. (fiancee, Renee Roose) Brummel, III; two grandsons, who were the light of her life, Richie and C.J. Brower, all of Joliet; her twin sister and best friend, Bonnie (Mike) Elkins of Montezuma, IN; two brothers, Terry (Bobbie) Martin of Wilmington and Tom (Laura) Martin; one brother-in-law, Eddie Haga of Wilmington; nieces and nephews also survive.
 Funeral Services for Connie L. Brummel will be Friday, October 11, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Fr. Michael Lane officiating. As it was Connie's request, Cremation Rites will be accorded following her funeral services. Memorials in her name to the Joliet Area Community Hospice or the Cancer Care Center of Mokena would be appreciated.
