Note: H1
Note: Margaret Freeling's baptism record in the Tinicum Reformed Church record notes: "Margared Fryling, daughter of Jacob and Sila Ann Fryling" Sponsor is noted only as Mary (no last name.) This was probably Mary Rose, Margaret's grandmother, or Mary Freeling Hillpot, her aunt. This is documentation that the surname "Freeling" and "Fryling" or "Freyling" were interchangeable. Bucks County Intelligencer, issue March 8, 1917: "Margaret R, widow of Samuel Taylor, died of Brights disease, on Saturday, February 24th, at the residence of her granddaughter, Mrs Henry Walbert, on Franklin Street Quakertown, aged 80 years, 5 months and 4 days. She was a daughter of Jacob and Delia Ann (Roth) { this is in error, should read Sely Ann Rose} Fryling and was born September 20, 1836. Her marriage to Samuel Taylor took place on December 2, 1858. They were the parents of one son and one daughter, both deceased, and Mrs Taylor lived to see eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren of whom seven of the former and nine of the latter survive. Funeral services took place Tuesday evening at the residence of Henry Walbert, conducted by Rev D.H.Reiter, and interment was made at Upper Tinicum Church, on Wednesday morning."
