Note: N2837 Went to La Verne School in Berwyn, IL Age 8 in 1910 census living at 3376 Hiawatha Ave in Chicago with parents, 2 siblings, cousin Gudrun, aunt Esther, and grandfather Christian. Enlisted in the military (navy) on 17 Apr 1918. Was honorably discharged on 5 Dec 1918. Age 17 in 1920 census living at 64 Sierra Bonita Ave, Pasadena, CA with parents, 3 siblings, Aunt Esther, and cousin Albert. During 1920 & 1921, Verner went back to High School to get his diploma. He was a member of the football team (photo). It was during this time that he delivered ice. By 1922, he�d purchased his Maxwell (photo). After graduating from high school, Verner had several jobs: driving the �stage� to Mount Wilson, installing radios,� At night he attended Business school. In 1923 and 1924, he attended college in Redlands. About 1925, he sold real estate in San Clemente; driving groups to the area from Pasadena. Attended Northwest Baptist Seminary in Chicago and graduated in 1928. Honeymooned at Hunky Dory Farm in Wisconsin (2 post cards). First lived at Burnham�s former home for summer of 1929 in Minneapolis (have photo). In 1929, Verner & Kathryn moved to 1914 Morgan Ave (on the corner of 19th), where they lived for a year upstairs and then 2 years downstairs. (2 photos) Age 28 (parents born Illinois) in 1930 census living at 1914 Morgan Ave, renting home for $45 a month, in Minneapolis, Minnesota as pastor of Baptist Church with wife. From 1933 to 1936, they lived at 3601 Vincent in Minneapolis (photo). In 1936, they moved to 3700 Morgan Av N in Minneapolis. From 1936-1938, their last home in Minneapolis was on 22nd St (2 photos) Age 38 in 1940 census living at 874 South 15th St in Newark, Essex Co, NJ as a minister with wife & 3 children. (have photo of house taken in 2003 on computer) From 1943-1948, they lived in Oakland (have photo). Next, from 1948-1953, they lived 310 South 50th Ave in Omaha, NE (photo on computer). When moving to Pasadena in 1953, they first lived at 2214 Paloma (2 photos). They then moved to 2341 Paloma in Pasadena (photo). Before moving to Leisure World in 1965, Verner & Kathryn lived on Newton St in San Fernando from 1961-1965 (have photo). Upon moving to Leisure World, they lived at 436 A Avenida Sevilla A.
