Note: N190 Moved to Hassel farm after marriage. Left Hassela to go to Sbr parish on 26 May 1865. Arrived in Gde in Sbr parish on 3 Jun 1865 as a miller, mill still standing but used as a storage place. Moved to Frland, Sbr parish on 1 Nov 1867 as a farmer. Moved to Antjrn, Hggdnger parish as a farmer on 21 Nov 1877. Henrik Petter opened new land at the lake of Antjrn in the 1870s. He used only a large spit, tall as himself and weighing 35 kg and his horse. He used the spit and horse for taking out stumps of trees and removing boulders. His horse once stepped down in a bog hole and started to sink. Henrik put his big hands around the head of the horse and drew the horse towards land so the horse could help himself back on firm ground. Some people in the village saw him do this but didn't go to help him before he was done. His great grand daughter Gun found the spit and photographed it with Christer Norlin. It truly is 7 feet tall. The land that Henrik cleared lies next to the land where Gun and her daughter Marit now live. It comprised 8 acres from the house down to the lake. Moved with last 2 children and new wife to Hrnsand 19 Nov 1887. Changed name to Olsson. Bought farm number 1, village of Solum, island of Hrn, on 21 Nov 1887. In 1890 census listed as Henrik Petter Olofsson living in Solum, Hrnsand as a farmer with wife & 2 children. On 1900 census, farm #1 showed Henrik and his wife plus 2 girls who worked there: Sara Karolina Ostman and Karolina Magdalena Sjoden. At some point before 1910, Henrik Petter moved to stanbcksgatan in Hrnsand. He lived at 50a (old numbering system) stanbcksgatan; when he died the house was worth 5000 SEK (according to the inventory made Mar 1910). Stories handed down through Henriks grandson Israel Hggmark to his grandson Christer Hggmark, Henrik Petter Olofsson was a very tall and strong man. He was about 7 feet tall! He worked as a farmer and a blacksmith. He traveled from Attmar to Antjrn on a "kick" (a strange Swedish winter vehicle, you kick yourself forward). He built his first house in Antjrn. It is still there. Antjrns first school rented the bottom floor. (Some people say he has been seen walking on the stairs in that house.) The second house he built in Lgdom / Frland, in Sbr parish. A very big house with a beautiful view over the valley of Frland - still there also. Then he moved to Solum village at the south end of Hrn island. That farm is now gone, but there are a lot of houses and gardens there today. [Actually the first house built was in Frlund and the 2nd house in Antjrn. He probably used a kick to first travel from Attmar to Gde then to Frlund then to Antjrn. The first house he built is probably gone but we did visit the 2nd house in Antjrn. We do not know for sure whether farm #1 in Solum is still there since all farms were renumbered some years ago but it is at the center of the island near a lake, not the south end.] Died of Bronchial pneumonia.
