a. Note:   According to the obit for Alice Joanna, she was living with Lola Stone (her daughter) for the past eight years from her death (March 29, 1949). This address is listed as Route 2, in Gainesville, Cooke County, Texas. Sam says this could be Callisburg. Her memorial service was held on a Thursday, at 3:00 p.m. Officiants were Will Chisum and Rev. S. W. Hutton. The interment occurred at Oakwood Cemetary in Whitesboro, Grayson County, Texas. Pall bearers were A. L. Cobb, Charles West, Alex Perkins, C. L. Hollingsworth, Harold Senor and Dee Ott (father to Pauline Ott/Wife of Thomas Alexander Lott). The arrangements were made by Richards - Beck Funeral Home in Whitesboro. She was a resident of Whitesboro community for 43 years. This means they were elsewhere from 1896 to 1906. We believe they were in Trenton (birth place of Sadie), Fannin County, Texas. According to interview with Rosalie Butler (July 2000), Aunt Alice was a very frail lady in her later days.
