"Mrs. Virginia Baker Dies "On last Saturday evening, September 27, 1941, at 5:45 o'clock, Mrs. Virginia Ellen Baker, aged 77, died at her home near Cootes Store, following an illness of two days. Infirmities of old age was the cause of her death. "In early life she became a member of the Morning Star Lutheran Church to which faith she remained true until death. "She was united in marriage to the late John R. Baker, who departed this life on January 30, 1939. "Surviving are three daughters and one son - Mrs. Sarah Crist of Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Ada Rinker of Tiffin, Ohio; Mrs. Minnie Ryan of Hepner's Va.; and Mr. Paul Baker of Cootes Store. A daughter, Emma, preceded her to the grave on January 30, 1935. Also surviving are one sister. Mrs. Angeline Dovel of Harrisonburg and a brother, Mr. John Fadely of Port Republic, twenty grandchildren and one great grand child. "Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon from the Morning Star Lutheran Church with her pastor Rev. T. A. Graves officiating. "Pallbearers were Messrs. Jacob and C. L. Ryman, Erasmus and Noah Hepner, James Biller, and Russell Hepner. "Those attending the funeral from a distance were Mr. And Mrs. Lee Crist of Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Ada Rinker and daughter June and Son Mr. Grattan Rinker, miss Wilma Lang, and Mr. Dwight Richmond, all of Tiffin Ohio; Mr. Arnold Baker of Galaxy Va., Mr. And Mrs. Andrew Frye and Mrs. Emma Coffman of Woodstock. Her death certificate, also in the Pence file, lists "Jacob Fadley" and "Peggy Fadley" as her parents
