Notes
a. Note:   According to her daughter, Ann Louisa Bruton Running, Louisa Oxby came to North Dakota from Brockville, Ontario, Canada to be with her sister (Mrs G.A. Matthews or Mathews). It is unknown if her sister was in Hunter, Cass, N.D. or Leeds, Benson, N.D. Her father came to Hunter, Cass, N.D. from Nappanee, Ontario, Canada. Her father and mother were married and lived in various places. First in Hunter, Cass, N.D., then in Blanchard, Traill, N.D., and possibly back to Hunter. They also lived in Castleton, Cass, N.D. and eventually moved to Crookston, Minnesota where her father retired. After retirement, they moved to St. Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota to be near two of their daughters who had moved there previously. Ann Louisa Bruton Running also mentioned that her father ran a general store in Hunter which burned when a grain elevator across the street exploded. He also worked at a bank in Hunter (Could this be Gale & Duffany in Hunter?).
