 January 3rd 1922 - Mary Leslie gives birth to a baby girl - place of birth is recorded as "Drogheda Union" - The Drogheda Union operated the Drogheda Workhouse on the Dublin Road and a premises on Fair Street where unmarried mothers gave birth to their children.
 As a young child I (Terry Collins) remembered visiting "Granny Collins" at her home in Saint Joseph's Tce Mell - The house was quite dark and sparsely furnished - Granny Collins sat in the corner by the fire and I was very nervous of both her and the house.
 In November every year my sisters and I with our daddy would go to granny's house in mell to mix the Christmas puddings.
 Kathleen Collins (nee Andrews) & Peader Collins ,who is the early 1960's, lived in with granny and grandfather collins in the house at St Joseph's Terrace. They had just returned from England and were expecting their first child.
 Kathleen told me that she had fond memories of granny and Granda Collins - Kathleen stated that, although she (granny) wasn't afraid to speak her mind , she was very nice and supportive to her.
 Kathleen also told me that Granda Collins was very good to her and would regularly give her money to buy groceries.
