 In 1890 he is listed as 10 years old and resides in East Idaho.
 In 1892 he is listed as 12 years old and resides in East Idaho.
 In 1893 he is listed as 13 years old and resides in East Idaho.
 In 1894 he is listed as 14 years old and resides in East Idaho.
 In 1895 he is listed as 15 years old and resides in Grass Valley.
 In 1896 he is listed as 16 years old and resides in Grass Valley.
 In 1897 he is listed as 17 years old and resides in Grass Valley.
 In 1898 he is listed as 18 years old and resides in Grass Valley.

  "Death of William Coad.
 At Idaho Springs - Well Known in Central City.
 William J. Coad died at Idaho Springs on Thursday, January 3, age 20 years, 7 months and 22 days. the funeral was held at the Methodist Church there on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. Rogers, paster of the Methodist Church of this city (Central City) preached the funeral sermon.
 He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Coad. A sister died about a year ago. (Susan Coad)
 The many friends of the family in Central City extend their heartfelt sympathy."

 "William Coad's Funeral.
 The funeral of William J. Coad, the popular young mean who died of Pneumonia on January 3, was held Sunday afternoon. The Knights of the Golden Eagle, of which he was a member, turned out in full force.
 His scores of friends among the young people were also present to pay their last tribute of respect.
 Services were held at the residence at 1 o'clock and at the Methodist Church at 1:30, where Rev. S.J. Rogers of Central City conducted the services. The funeral was an indication of the regard and esteem in which the young man was held by the people."
