Note: Merle's mother Bessie Coad-Tresidder died in childbirth while delivering Merle. Merle was adopted by Maude Housell.
Thomas Henry Coad and his wife Mary Jane Mitchell-Coad raised their grandchildren Bessie, Florence and William. Frank was grown and on his own.
