Note: Name on birth certificate is Fatima White. Fay wrote, "I was christened Fatima but have been known as Fay ever since starting school." Buried in Elmwood Cemetery with her Swofford family. Obituary: June 18, 1994, The Kansas City Star. Fay White Simon, 86, midtown Kansas City, died June 17, 1994. Service will be private. The family suggests contributions to Hospice Care of the Visiting Nurse Association. Mrs. Simon was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of Grace & Holy Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include her husband, Josef A. Simon of the home; two daughters, Helen Maria Beery, Vienna, Va., and Susan S.
