Notes
a. Note:   Migration Path for Daniel Headrick appears to have been: KY to MO to CA arriving ca 1860 - in CA he resided in Butte Co., San Joaquin Co., Fresno Co. ca 1866 for about 10 years - appears to have purchased land there 1 June 1882; Hanford area until ca 1883; Deer Creek; Tulare where he purched land in April 1892; Round Valley; Porterville; and then back to Tulare from 1899 to Nov 1900. Daniel Headrick's life story appeared in History of Tulare and Kings Counties, California, Vol 2, page 595 (1913) : It was in Kentucky in 1832 that Daniel Headrick was born, and when a child was taken to Missouri. From there he came to California in 1860 with his mother. His father having died previously. He learned the blacksmith's trade, but settling in Butte County, he worked there as a farmer for some time and from there went to San Joaquin County, where he was both farmer and blacksmith several years, as he was later for ten years in Fresno County. His next place of residence was near Kings River, in the vicinty of Hanford until 1883. He removed from there to Deer Creek thence to Tulare, thence to Round Valley, thence to Porterville and thence in 1899, again to Tulare, where he remained until his death, which occurred Nov 9 1900. Wherever he lived he combined his two occupations, farming and blacksmithing. In 1866 Mr. headrick married Sarah Palmer, a native of Wisconsin, who had been reared in Iowa and was then living at Fresno. She bore 11 children, six of who are living: Leonard Fry, George Fry and Della Fry, who married Ellis Marvin of Hanford, Cal. (these three by a former marriage), and Arna, Emory and Ivy (by her marriage to Mr. Headrick). Arna is the wife of John E. Walker of Tulare, a biographical sketch of whom appears in these pages: Emory lives at Porterville; Ivy married S.J. Miller of Tulare. (This was provided to be by Rodney Walker - descendant of John E. Walker family line)
b. Note:   DI3
Note:   Date of death may not be accurate as Daniel does not appear on the 1900 census - his wife, Sarah is living with daughter Ivy and Sarah is listed as a widow - perhaps Daniel died in 1899.

Also living in the household are daughter Iva, age 13, grandson Evertt Bennett age 8 born June 1891 in CA both his parents born in CA and granddaughter, Emma Fry age 6 born May 1894 in CA, father born in Iowa, mother born in CA.
