a. Note:   Death record of her daughter, Mary Alice gives her surname as Lenard. Julia Ann Leonard was born in the state of Ohio, April 24th, 1837, and
 died at Panora, Iowa, March 2, 1922. In the vicinity where she was
 born she grew to womanhood and was married to Thomas Cox November 13,
 1853. To this union were born eight children, 7 sons and one
 daughter. Her husband, the oldest son and daughter proceeded her in
 death several years. There are six sons living, W.M. Cox of Fredonia,
 Kansas, A.B. Cox of Jefferson, Ia., G.M. Cox of Vinton, Ia., J.H. Cox
 of Missouri Valley, Ia., T.J. Cox of Neligh, Neb., and J.L. Cox of
 Madison, S. Dak.
 She was married again to Isaac Young, January 15, 1922. Mrs. Young
 was a very kind woman. She made many friends where ever she was. She
 leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Isaac Young, six children, 20?
 grandchildren, 25 greatgrandchildren, three sisters and two brothers.
b. Note:   1900 Census says she was born April 1843 and was 57 in 1900. Her death certificate gives her date of birth as 24 April 1837. Also
 gives her parents' names as William Leonard and Elizabeth Jemmeson.
 History of Benton County says she was born near Chillicothe, Ohio and
 was about 73 years old. Book was published in 1910.
 1895 Iowa Census gives her birthplace as Ohio and age as 57 (so born
 in 1837.)
 Age 14 in 1850 census, so born about 1836.
c. Note:   Julia died in Panora, was supposed to be buried in Junction Cem, but she is not on their list.
d. Note:   Undertaker was G.H. Jemmandal?, Panora, Iowa
e. Note:   The clergyman who married them was Joseph E. Cox and one of the witnesses was Mrs. J.E. Cox, possibly relatives of Julia's late
 husband? The other witness was Arthur DeWitt, husband of her
 daughter, Mary.
