Notes
a. Note:   In 1958, the Madison Daily Leader gives this account of her 80th birthday: Mrs. Myrtle Cox celebrated her eightieth birthday Saturday
with a party that evening in her home. The evening was spent playing
cards with the high prize going to Mrs. Sue Davis and low to Mrs. Roy
Beesley. Mrs. Cox has lived in Madison 42 years
and is known to her friends as Grandma Cox. She is the mother of four
children, two of which are living. They are Clarence Cox and Mrs.
William (Minnie) Aust, both of Madison.
Grandma Cox is very active, does her own housework and enjoys a lot of
company. She is a member of Rebekah Lodge, Woman's Relief Corps,
Birthday 500 club, Independent Card club and Ladies Aid of
 Presbyterian church.
b. Note:   They were married at the home of the pastor, Rev. A.C. Martyn of the Presbyterian church.
