She had 10 children in 12 years. Five children, three boys and two girls died at birth or by the age of 5 months. Five boys survived. ***** Death Cert., Middletown, CT p. 169 Mabel Thompson, d. She is survived by five sons; Kenneth of Durham, Whitney of East Haven; Warren and Clarence, of Guilford, and Elmer, of Middletown, and two sisters, Mrs. Wilbur Clark and Mrs. Clifford Francis, both of Durham. The funeral will be held Thursday at the Emmette-Turner Funeral Home, 158 Broad Street. Interment is to take place in Durham. ***** Olive - thinks she started a taxi service - Durham to Middletown, but in the city directories of Durham, it did not list her as business owner and there was a taxi service operating in Middletown before she moved there.
