Note: Duane Davis Thompson was the first child in the family to be born in a hospital. He was born on October 28, 1941 at St. Raphael's Hospital in New Haven, CT. He was born 100 years after Grampa (Wm) Norton (1841-1923). Duane enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1961, which was 100 years after Grampa Norton had enlisted in the Civil War. Duane was a Police Officer in Guilford, CT (abt. 6 years), and also worked locally at the Tile Shop and for JJ Sullivan among other jobs. His life companion is Carol More. They live at North Fair Street. He did not have any children, Carol has 3 children from a previous marriage. His middle name, Davis, probably originated with Julius Davis of Killingworth who married 1874 his great aunt, Eliza Lydia Thompson. Died from cancer (Jaw).
