a. Note:   Death certificate#12086 Per my information from Tracy Doss Hubbard. Christof ervin was born Neidenburg, East Prussia, Germany on July 30, 1852. This is the same as Nidzica in modern day Poland. He was a farmer and could not speak English. He died on May 4, 1932 in Ottenheim, KY at the age of 80. His tombstone is in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Ottenheim, KY. His tombstone reads 1853-1931. The church records say he died in 1932. He married Carline Lena Karla on June 19, 1873 (from U.S. Census records). He had 12 children, only 9 lived to be adults. one died in an accidental fire from an overheated stove. As told by Lena Ervin Greer, he had cancer on his face. It had such a bad smell, they made him a bed in the corn crib and he slept there.
