Note: Margaret joined the Army (ATS) on 30 August 1944, where she served with the Royal Signals as a switchboard operator, until 23 April 1946 (after her first marriage). Her Army number was W/306623, and her trade on enlistment was Clerk. She was then 5ft. 4in. tall; she weighed 112 lbs.; Chest size 32.5 ins; Complexion Fair; Eyes Brown; and Hair Dark. Her religious denomination was C of E, and an Approved Society was noted as the Ancient Order of Forresters, Membership No. 1532. Margaret's first marriage to Jack Gordon WORSLEY was from 30 March 1946 to 1 January 1971, and ended in divorce. There was one daughter Gillian who was estranged from Margaret in the 1980's. Her second marriage to Johnny Dale FREEZE was from 11 August 1982 to 23 November 1983, also ending in divorce. This second marriage was unknown to her family until after her death on 8 November 1999. There was no issue of this second marriage. Her address at the second marriage: 424 Seaspray Avenue, Palm Beach, Florida 33480, USA. She also lived and worked in Westchester County, New York State. Whilst in America she gained several awards for ballroom dancing. Margaret returned to England when she retired, and on learning that she had a terminal illness, obtained sheltered accommodation at Geffery's House in Hook, Hampshire, England, and lived there until her death. Despite the progressive nature of her illness and very unpleasant treatments, she was very happy at her last address, always remaining cheerful and optimistic, and busied herself with her favourite hobbies. She was a natural gardener, an excellent cook and needlewoman, and a lover of all animals. She died in the St. Michael's Hospice in Basingstoke, Hampshire at 4 a.m. on Monday the 8 November 1999.
