Joseph Templeton died 25 Oct 1826 at theage of 78. The Western Carolinian (Salisbury NC) reported his deathas " Joseph Templeton, a soldier of the Revolution. Aged 77, Oct 23,1826, in Centre Congregation, Iredell Co."
