Note: There is a record of a J. R. Tendick, age 22, who in 1891 left Hamburg, Germany, for his HOME in San Antonio Texas. He sailed aboard the ship FURST
BISMARCK (under captain Albers), departing Hamburg on 31 July, 1891 bound for
New York. His profession was Kaufmann, or salesman. I have no doubt it is this
same J. R. Tendick. Also listed with him are K. L. Tendick, 17 years old, (born
1873), marital status single.
