a. Note:   Lum and his family migrated to Anderson County in the late 1890's where they first lived near what is now known as South Clinton, Tennesse. Later, they moved to a farm west of Clinton on the Oliver Springs Road, now a part of Oak Ridge, Anderson, Tennessee, USA. It is in the current Elza Gate Section. Abner Hamblen purchased the farm on 9 April 1904 which had formerly been owned by H.B. Garner. Columbus Hamblen died 7 Jan 1911 in Clinton #3 (Rural Route ?), Anderson, Tennessee, USA. Death certificate was recorded 25 July 1911 by W.B. Disney, County Court Clerk, page 108. Attending physician was Dr. J.W. Garner and other details were listed: white male, age 64 years, 2 months, 26 days, married, cause of death was heart failure, born in Tennessee, and he was a Farmer. When he died in 1911, Lum was living on the farm owned by his son, Abner, west of Clinton, Tennesse on the Oliver Springs Road. Initially he was buried on the farm (Hamblen Cemetery - AEC No. 50) on the north side of Clark Lane, in Emory Heights, 1000 feet southeast of the former Grand Junction Railroad Repair Shop on Tract D-317 owned by Abner Hamblin. His remains were moved in 1942 to the Forest Hills Cemetary at Red Bank, Tennessee near Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA when the US government condemmed the farm to form the Oak Ridge National Lab for WWII.
