Note: 18-year-old Giovanni Boni sailed on La Lorraine from Havre to New York, arriving December 6, 1920. He had never been in the states before and arrived with $40. He was going to join his brother, Luca, who lived on Ridgewood Road, Plainsville, Pennsylvania. TO DO: 1) Check 1900 census for a Baldinelli (Boni?) in Scranton. Felice Boni, a 25-year-old laborer from Gualdo (b. 1874), said he was going to join his Uncle Baldinelli in Scranton when he immigrated on Feb. 10, 1901. 2) Francesco Boni immigrated on May 26, 1901. He was a 28-year-old married farmer from Gualdo and was going to join his brother, Felice, at Jessup. 3) Guiseppe Boni immigrated to Jessup on Oct. 12, 1923. He was a 28-year-old single laborer from Gualdo Tadino, where he left his mother, Marianna. 4) Check Hilldale (Plains Twp.) area for Boni name. 5) Check for Boni death in Luzerne Cty. Supposedly, a Boni may have shot his wife and then killed himself. If it was Felice, it was after 1923, when nephew Giuseppe Boni immigrates and says he is to join Uncle Felice in Jessup.
