Notes
a. Note:   ant Hill, Newton, AR, as the 10 year old daughter of Samuel & Margaret Adams. Leota was the prettiest of the Adams girls. She married Lloyd Young in about 1905. They had one daughter Lora Young born in 1907. Lloyd became insane and Leota divorced him while he was confined in the Steilcoom Hospital. We have a copy of the news clipping and divorce decree dated 16 Feb 1915. Leota married again to Jim Foreman, who shoed racehorses for a living, followed the racing circuit and was said to be a nice little man. Leota died in 1933, and is buried with her husband Jim in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Leota's daughter Lora married a nice man, Charles Beck, who had a large purple birthmark on his face. Lora and Charles adopted two children, Ray and Linda (Cookie), and lived in Olympia. Lora had a good memory and knew much about the Adams lineage. Lora was very close to Grandmother Margaret, as mentioned earlier; in the 1920 Census Grandmother Margaret lived with the Jim & Leota Foreman and little 11-year old Lora Young. Unfortunately, Lora died in 1996, probably with many good untold stories of the Adams. Lora always was nice and kept in contact, it was a tradition for us all to meet at her house at noon on Christmas day for hot Tom & Jerrys and exchange gifts. Ted Adams recollections of Aunt Leota: "Aunt Leota was Lora Beck's mother, a jolly person; always told me not to go swimming until one hour after eating."
Note:   Leota Crisse Adams was born 13 April 1889. She first shows up in the 1900 Census of Pleas
