Note: e and his two wives. He is first shown in the 1880 Census of Taney Cty, MO as 2 yr old son of Samuel & Margaret Adams. He grew up in Beaver Missouri and lived near the Selvidge farms there. However he is not shown living with his parents in the 1900 Census of Newton Cty, AR, as he married Kitty Brake in Sep of 1899 in Brownbranch, Missouri. Entry: Adams A. R. (Over 21) Brown Branch Brake Kittie (Over 18) Brown Branch 07-Sep-1899 J. G. Lewis, JP B 2 p 422 Rube & Kitty had one child, Claudia Adams, born about 1903. Rube and Kitty divorced prior to 1907. The 1907 Olympia City Directory Rueben Adams, lineman living at 603 9th St with no wife mentioned. The 1910 Census shows Rube ( as divorced 30 year old) & his 7 year old daughter , Claudia, living with his mother, Margaret, in Olympia , where he worked as a lineman/ electrician for the power company in Olympia. The 1917 Olympia City Directory shows Rube living at his mother Margaret's house on Lincoln, Eastside. The 1920 Census of Thurston County shows him married to" Bessie" age 36 from Nebraska and owning his own home. The 1923-24 Olympia City Directory lists A.R. Adams living at RD2 $378D. Rube died at age 45 in 1924 and his sister Ona had him buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery. It is not known what happened to Kitty, Claudia, or Bessie.
