He married Lucy Worsham [1662.1.4.6] in Amelia County 16 January (bond) His guardian, George Carrington, consented to the marriage. William N. Booker and Allen Burton [6616.2.1.3.4] witnessed the consent. The next year, on 1 November 1784, John sold his inheritance to John Tabb. They named their daughters for their respective mothers.
