Text:   James M. Jordan, 58, of 337 Waverly, died Saturday in a local hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Onalaska, Texas, and had lived in Corpus Christi since 1939. He was a retired supervisor for the United States Post Office and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the St. John's United Methodist Church and was active with the Boy Scouts of America for many years. He was survived by his wife, Ann Key Jordan of Corpus Christi; three sons, J. Peter Jordan of Honolulu, Hawaii, Jack Jordan of Thousand Oaks, California, and Mike Jordan of Corpus Christi; one daughter Rebecca Jordan of Alice; three brothers, John R. Jordan, Paul N. Jordan, both of Corpus Christi, and Bill Jordan of Lake Jackson; and two grandsons. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's United Methodist Church with Dr. Carolyn Stapleton and Dr. Charles Giesler officiating. Burial will follow in Seaside Memorial Park. In lieu of usual remembrances, friends my make donations to the St. John's United Methodist Church, the American Cancer Society, or to a favorite charity.
