a. Note:   From Wilmer Struebing notes" Nov 2000. Johann Gottlieb was called "Gottlieb" Gottlieb married Christian Franks daughter and farmed in the town of Rockland in Manitowoc County. Gottlieb ran away from home and did not return until some years after their father died. Karl inherited the entire farm and property. When his long lost brother came home, Karl gave him a house and 80 acres of land across the road from the Homestead where they lived until he sold this and moved to his father-in-laws farm.
